One Bitchin Ride! Mike Copeland’s Mid-Engined, Hemi-Powered Dodge Rampage Wowed The Crowds At Holley MoParty

When Mike Copeland sent me a picture of this rampage in stock form, and told me he was going to put a HEMI in it I giggled and knew it would be a riot. Then he sent me a picture of it with the HEMI sitting sideways under the hood like the factory 4-cylinder would have been with a note that said he had already started breaking the internet because Mopar folks were losing their minds. Then he sent me a photo with the engine in the back, and I knew where things were really going.

Like everything Copeland touches, this thing is super rad. Built inside his custom fabrication and installation center, Diversified Creations, the little Rampage took shape and was a huge hit when it debuted at the SEMA Show, before being driven all over, raced some places and generally hauled around to put smiles on folks faces. It’s a cool car, or ute, or truck or whatever you want to call it, and it works. It runs, it drives, it has AC, it has a stereo, and the seats are even pretty comfy for a fluffy guy like me. Matt Graves and I keep threatening to steal it and take it on a road trip. Stay tuned.

Video Description:

If a Dodge Rampage doesn’t sound familiar, don’t worry, you aren’t alone. The coupe-utility version of the Chrysler L-Body platform was a front-driver that struggled to make a hundred horsepower. Mike Copeland, the CEO of Arrington Performance and Diversified Creations, saw tons of potential in the Rampage…especially with the bed big enough to house a Hemi in! His rear-engined creation hasn’t been ignored since the day the orange paint was applied!
