I didn’t know why this Lotuss 11 GT was referred to as a breadvan when I saw this video’s title, but I knew I liked the car. Vintage race cars are usually cool as hell, especially if you look at them from the standpoint of what it must have been like to build and race them back in the day. These cars are the ones that have been stepping stones to the insane modern performance that we see today in the racing and road car world. And guys were building them with way less technology than we have today, and without materials that are considered the norm in even the most sedate cars nowadays. So what makes the Lotus 11 GT special? Why is it called a breadvan?
Watch the video below and let us know what you think, because we think this thing is rad.
Video Description:
The Ferrari 250 Breadvan might get all of the attention in the bakery delivery world, but the lesser-known Lotus 11 GT Breadvan might just be our favourite. Having read all of your comments about these Breadvans, it seems like they’re a bit of a Marmite machine. We’re fully in the approval camp, and after hearing about this Lotus’ story, you will be too.
