We dig SVO Mustangs. It probably has something to do with our friend the Hubers who run in the 8’s with the little Turbo 4-cylinder in their Mustang. It’s a Pre-SVO model, but when Ford decided these were cool they turned up the styling and the performance and we approve. This 1986 SVO Turbo Mustang looks much like any other 1986 Fox-body Mustang, but there are some clues as to what actually is going on here if you know what you are looking at. Besides the wheels and hood scoop, this thing looks like any LX with a GT rear spoiler. But that hood, man it looks awesome. With the offset hood scoop channeling cold air through an intercooler core and to cool the inlet charge and make more power. These cars are easy to tweak for much more power, and if you want real steam then the guys at Huber’s Performance are who you want to visit!

I worked at a Ford from 85-86 and remember these cars well. When they put the intercooler on the car in 85 1/2, it woke up the car big time! I drove a white one like this one except it had the double spoiler and from 3K RPM and up, damn the car was a riot to drive! This was one high tech car at the time.
This is one Mustang I would love to own!
