This just might be the strangest GM A-Body we’ve ever seen. When Chris Todd sent us the link to this one on Craigslist, he said that he’d never seen one before and hoped we would dig it too. Yes we do! It’s so 1970’s perfect that we have to love it. I would worship the guy that bought this thing and turned it into a pro touring machine without taking away any of the ’70s vibe. This is one of GM’s last A-Bodies, as they officially ran until 1981, but only in limited models. We had never seen a Regal RS before, and never an A-Body Regal with T-Tops. But the kicker really has to be the vinyl/leather and corduroy interior. That one we were able to look up and confirm. The RS cars had corduroy and reclining bucket seats. Stylin’!

There isn’t much info on this thing from the seller, but since it’s a GM A-Body you know how many goodies will bolt to it. This one has a 350 with a Turbo 350 trans behind it. If we kept the Buick engine we’d have to throw a turbo on it as an homage to later Buick Regals. According to the ad it’s been owned by the seller’s dad since 1977 and only has 102,000 miles on it. The thing looks clean as hell. We dig it.
