I’m a fan of convertible muscle cars. I grew up in a family with a couple of convertibles and always loved them. I have fond memories of riding in my mom’s daily driver 1969 Riverside Gold Corvette convertible as a kid and of course my own 1969 Camaro convertible. So when I see something like this 1969 GTO convertible that Steve Magnante has found in the junkyard, I get a little excited. This one is a project, for sure, but it is saveable. Check out Steve’s walk around and let us know what you think.
Would you restore a ride like this? I will tell you, in some ways a convertible is easier to work on, because you have a lot nicer access to the inside of the car. So who wants a convertible?
Restoration parts are available!
