The Ridetech 48-Hour Camaro and 48-Hour Corvette have taken on lives of their own. People stop with them all the time for pictures, tell stories about watching us build them live on the internet, and ask a lot of questions. And while it was super cool building them both, it’s driving them that makes them really fun. But we couldn’t be driving them without help from great sponsors, who not only brought parts to the table that will live through Smitty driving the thing all the time, but also brought staff to help put this sucker together.
I bring this up because Ridetech does a great job sending out a Ridetech Sponsor Report for the 48-Hour Corvette that lets anyone on the mailing list know what the cars is doing, where they’ve been, and also to give one particular sponsor a little extra love.
Check it out.
48-HOUR CORVETTE UPDATE
A Super Weekend at Super Summit!
The second year for this particular event, Super Summit at Norwalk, OH was a hit again this year! The folks at Summit are always hospitable, the Norwalk facility is amazing, and the weather cooperated with a great day on Friday and the rain holding off just perfectly on Saturday. Everyone got plenty of runs on the well-designed autocross, which was run just for fun; no times were gathered at this event. A great way to get some seat time and a last bit of tuning done to the 48-Hour Corvette before the big event in Des Moines!
This show wasn’t about competition; it was about Summit, and their vendors & customers. The RideTech cars were on-hand to give all of the Summit staff rides, both to initiate some newcomers to the autocross world and to better familiarize them with our products and performance. And we’re happy to announce that goal attained!
Next up for the 48-Hour Corvette will be GoodGuys Des Moines, on July 1-3; this will be a big one (with a twilight autocross!), and we’d love to see you there! Stay tuned to our website and Facebook page for updates!
