For some reason I dig old Volvos. I know that seems weird, but there are some cool body styles like this 1962 Volvo Amazon for instance. And the earlier models kinda looked like an early ’40s Ford even. I know, I’m weird, but I dig them and clearly I’m not alone. This one belongs to Shant Yazijian and has got some serious time invested. He not only did an LS swap on it, but a lot of other things as well. The result is a hot rod in every sense of the word.
When you watch the video below you’ll see just how many things have been touched on this car. Sure the louvered hood, lowered stance, and wheel and tire combo grab your attention right away, but there is a ton going on in and under this one as well. This is a prime example of customization and I dig that Shant used so many different parts from so many different cars in order to get the look he wanted. He certainly wasn’t afraid to try things or to modify stock parts from some other car in order to make them fit his Volvo like they were made for it.
