Welding sheet metal can sometimes be the most challenging and frustrating welding you will ever do. It’s easy to struggle with things that look to be super easy. But the truth is, sheetmetal work is hard and tips and tricks from veterans can really take the stress out of it if you pay attention. That’s one of the reasons why smart people hang out in welding shops and also pay attention to all the good welding videos that are on YouTube.
One of the places that can help you learn is WeldingTipsAndTricks, and in this particular video there is a trick to tack welding sheet metal using the TIG. Often times using the tig to tack weld outside corners and such can be tough as it can blow out the joint and make divots that require refinishing when done.
Check it out and tell us what you think.

I’ve been stick welding for 35 years and MIG welding for 20 but these guys are artists. It’s like the difference of painting a house and and painting a masterpiece.
I like that you said that tips from veterans can really take the stress out of the process. If I was dealing with metal then I would want to make sure I had tips that would make it easier. It might be a good idea to hire a professional if you don’t have the skills to weld or fabricate metal.
