Okay, so I have to be honest, I dig this little Mustang. And I also have to be honest that this video is not JUST autocross. It’s all aspects of the Optima Search for the Ultimate Street Car in Las Vegas earlier this year. But back to the Mustang. I am pretty vocal as a GM guy, Chevrolet in particular, and I’m also vocal about the fact that these early Mustangs are not my favorite. But either are the ’69 and ’70 models. I think the best Mustang is the 1967 and 1968 model, and that these early cars are kind of, well, girly. But, this particular one gets me going. With all the TCI suspension under it this thing hauls ass and handles like a champ. With Mike Hamrick behind the wheel it’s done really well this year. And of course it’s got the latest and greatest from Wilwood underneath so it stops good. That’s why the first thing you’ll see in the video is the Wilwood Speed Stop Challenge. Fitting don’t you think?
