Our Boy “Snaps” Greg Schneider Shows Us What The Ridetech Chevelle Can Do

Ridetech’s 1966 Chevelle is one of my favorite cars in their stable, and their resident hot rod and race car maintainer Greg “Snaps” Schneider is one of my favorite guys. The Chevelle is like those magical traveling pants that they made a movie about several years ago, because no matter who gets behind the wheel they feel comfortable and can be fast. I’ve had the privilege of driving this thing a bunch, and I just love it. Snaps is sorta like those pants too. He’s weathered just right, he’s comfortable to be around, and he makes you feel good. The two are a match made in heaven, and Snaps has spent time over the past year making the Chevelle even better.

What I love about the Ridetech Chevelle is it’s ability to be fast regardless of how you drive. Want to be sideways smoking the tires like a rockstar? Done. Want to be smooth and clean and fast? Done. And the Baer brakes, oh the Baer brakes. They are so good, so magically paired with everything else on this car, that more than once people have cried bullshit in a magazine stopping contest only to have Snaps rerun the car and stop even quicker. Take that!

This video is Snaps having some fun at the Goodguys Autocross in Indy last weekend and the only thing we don’t like about the video is the fact that we aren’t driving. Oh well. Next time.
