We love Project Binky. Not only do these guys at Bad Obsession Motorsports do some insanely clean and cool work, without fancy tools, but they do it while showing the world and putting out a great message. We drool over some of their CAD, Cardboard Aided Design, work and wish we had the time to master such things and test ourselves. The truth is these dudes show the rest of us just how incompetent we really are. My only hope is that they are also inspiring me to be better, and I think they are.
In this episode of Project Binky we will see the team making fender flares, or arches as they call them, along with some plumbing and a special project as well. This one even required an entirely new technology called LRP.
What is LRP?
Watch and you’ll find out.
Ripping the shorts off a passing cyclist to provide the lycra for the wheel arches is one of the best ever moves this small band of lunatics ever managed – I just hope they washed them first……
The first time I ever remember seeing a Mini left a lasting impression. My brother had just finished basic traiining at Ft. Dix, N.J., and back then, they ran drag races on one of the runways at McGuire AFB next door. There, I watched one of the original Mini Cooper’s absolutely destroy a brand new Fuel Injected Corvette Sting Ray, heads up!
