Ken Thwaits is a crazy man, and when he started talking to Ronnie Soliman and the guys from RS Motors he ended up with an itch that could only be scratched by an EVO. So, like any good car guy that gets a new toy, Ken decided that since it got delivered right before the USCA Optima Search for the Ultimate Street Car event at Pikes Peak International Raceway, he should race BOTH it and his almost new Black Z28. There are two things that I am absolutely sure resulted from racing both cars all weekend. One, he had a smile on his face that would take days, or a call from On-Star, to erase. And two, he was WORE OUT. I havent’ seen Ken this tired in forever. I’m talking tongue hanging out, give me a place to sit down, I should just throw this shirt out cause it will never stop stinking, tired. It was awesome to watch.
One note, Ken told us the EVO was MUCH harder to drive than the Camaro. Yes it does the stuff you want it to do, but you have to manhandle the thing to make it do it.
