This Is Still Our Favorite Lamborghini Video Ever: You Can Keep The New Models, We’ll Take A Countach

This Is Still Our Favorite Lamborghini Video Ever: You Can Keep The New Models, We’ll Take A Countach

In 1987, the year I turned 15, Morley Safer did a 60 Minutes piece on the Lamborghini Countach. It featured Valentino Barboni, a little red, little white, and little black model, and a who lot of fun. This is what Lamborghini’s are supposed to be about. Hand built, by real craftsmen, ultra rare, and cool as hell. Sure the technology in the new ones is better, but the same could be said for most iconic cars and that doesn’t mean most would rather have a 2002 Camaro over a 1969 Camaro.

So for my money, if I was a Powerball Winner, I’m finding myself a Lamborghini Countach LP5000 sqv and driving the living hell out of it.

If you haven never seen this segment done on the CBS Show 60 Minutes, then you have been missing out. But now you are in luck!

Plus, you get to hear all kinds of cool Italian opinions and thoughts on owning a Lamborghini. Oh and Malcolm Forbes and more! Yeah, it is really good and you won’t be disappointed after watching this 12 minute piece.

I still remember the first one I ever saw when I was 13. Most modern supercar owners would kill themselves in that because you had to drive IT instead of IT driving you. Would I still have one if I could?, hell yes!
