The AutoX And Track 1967 Ford Mustang Makes It’s First Road Trip And Race And They Break It!

There is something special about taking a new build out for the first time. There is something even more special about getting an older build back up and running and then onto the road, or track, or both. Such is the case with Chad Ryker’s 1967 Mustang. I find it funny that he owns an old Mustang given the fact that he is so well known for driving his awesome red 1968 Camaro. His Camaro is known because not only is Chad fast in it, but he drives it everywhere to go racing. He’s driven it cross country on more than one occasion and then beats it like a rented mule and gets right back in it to cruise home with the Vintage Air AC blowing cold and the stereo cranked up as well.

This is the kind of car we love to see racing. But we can’t forget about the Mustang. This car is way more race car and way more obnoxious. So you can imagine how much fun it was driving it to the muffler shop after doing an engine refresh on the thing. I know I’ve been that guy on more than one occasion, and it is both exciting and scary all at the same time since you are always thinking a cop is going to pull you over at any minute.

Watch the video and listen to Chad telling the story of what they have done, what they are going to do, and what it is like to drive this cool Mustang. Oh, and he’s going to break it. Watch.

Curious where I can find the suspension set up on this car. I\’d love to clone it under my \’68 coupe. Cool car chief !!!

That roll cage has some crappy welds, I would suggest getting the Mustang to a chassis shop for a whole new cage to be put in for your safety.

Rip that pile of shit out of there and get a proper cage made from roll cage tubing and welded by someone that knows what they’re doing. I suggest watching the following video in an attempt to stop you ‘repairing’ your car’s safety equipmenthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=691_FgzuKaI. DO IT RIGHT!

Since uploading this video I’ve sent pics and video to some of the top cage shops in California. The full cage is coming out and being replaced once I replace the suspension.
