If you aren’t familiar with the Rat Rod Wagon, it’s a Radio Flyer wagon made into a front engine go kart. Sounds simple, but it’s not. So while it was an awesome build, this sucker just hasn’t been reliable because of it’s drivetrain arrangement. The enormous chain drive system, that requires idler pulleys and all kinds of junk between the engine in front and the drive axle in back, isn’t very reliable and that’s why the boys decided something new was in order. Of course most folks would have replaced all that chain with a short one and moved the engine to the rear axle. These boys aren’t normal. So with some smarts and parts they were able to get some stuff that, in theory, should help them create a shaft drive system that will work. We’ll see.
