It weighs just 1100 pounds, makes 300 horsepower, and only has three wheels. To see it run makes you know just how crazy it is, and to see the looks on the faces of those in it while it is hauling ass tells you everything you need to know about what it is like to drive or ride in it. The owner, Jim, calls it a Tazmanian Devil and we completely understand why now that we’ve seen this video. There is tons of technology in this little sucker, that’s for sure, but it is so much more than that. This Bond Bug looks as good as it goes. In fact if you saw it at a local cruise night or any car show in the country, you’d swear it was just a show car cruiser. It most certainly is not, but that sure makes you understand just how nice it really does look.

I’ve always though Bond Bugs were kind of weird and cool, even though they look like they would regularly flip over on their sides. In fact in an episode of Top Gear the boys took Reliant Robins and found out just how bad they are about going turtle. The Bond Bug is a bit more substantial and capable than the Reliant Robin, but a three wheeled “car” just doesn’t seem right regardless. We’re sure we wouldn’t want to go this fast in one that wasn’t prepped and engineered to do so. But keep in mind that even though the owner has done massive amounts of work to make this one handle and haul ass, it is still a short three wheeled vehicle that will bite you if you don’t respect it enough.

Watch the video and see just what we mean.
