It might surprise some of you that I actually had a poster hanging in my room as a young teenager that featured nothing but 1969 and 1970 Mustangs. Boss 302, Mach 1, and Boss 428 cars actually. I had totally forgotten about that until seeing this video from Evan Smith. What’s weird is that as a die-hard Chevrolet guy I still have a few very fond memories of cars like these. My friend Brett Voelkel owns a couple of these cars, and has owned several others. One of them, his Boss 428 Mustang, I got to drive before he ever even saw it in person. And then there is Brett’s Pro Street ’69. That car is the car that made me realize air ride was the way to go for car guys like us who like this ultra low. It would make me a customer of his and ultimately a friend. And I never put the fact that I had these cars on my wall together until right now. Weird.
At any rate, I’m glad Evan put this one together because I dig a Boss 302 for some reason. And this one is unrestored greatness. Watch.
