The days counting down to the 2016 Rolex 24 At Daytona race are ticking away. Come January 30th, 2016, the first endurance race of the season kicks off and there will be plenty to see, including the new Ford GT, Panoz’s DeltaWing, Corvette Racing, and the Viper GT3-R team, among others. But prior to the actual race itself is the “Roar Before The 24”, the three-day testing phase at Daytona International Speedway that allows manufacturers and teams to come out and put the cars through some preliminary paces beforehand, whether they are working the kinks out of an all-new program or simply shaking the cobwebs loose from the winter hiatus. This footage, shot by YouTuber “Lanky Turtle”, was part of a morning session and will give you an early idea of what will be out on the track. This is testing, so there is no word on whether or not these guys were running to their full potential or not, but the Corvettes and Corvette LMs still sound as strong as ever, the Ford GT still sounds like the result of a binge at a cheap burrito bar and just knowing the Viper team is still playing makes us smile.
