Winter weather is going to happen no matter how much you love or hate the season. The best thing you can do is to bundle up and go enjoy it, have some fun, and do anything that isn’t just staying in the house bored out of your mind for months on end. That isn’t good for your mental health and nobody wants to share a room with a Jack Torrance clone. We wholeheartedly recommend ice racing if you live where the climate supports such fun…which means anywhere where “Alberta Clipper” is a common term to hear on the evening news weather report. Freeze a lake solid, use plow trucks to build up snow berms, and prep your typical old rear-drive beast to take on drifting, cold temperatures and the occasional gentle rub from your racing neighbor. Make sure you have enough ground clearance and suspension travel, and have a a loop to drag your carcass out once you find the deep snow, and you’re all set. You’ll be drifting like a pro in the cold stuff and having much more fun than if you were sitting inside watching YouTube all day long!
Seriously…go find some beater 1980s Town Car and have a ball!
