Endurance road racing takes wheel to wheel racing to a whole new level. While most wheel to wheel racing that happens at night is in a dirt or paved oval that is lit up from all sides, that is NOT the case when it comes to endurance races. These are on road courses that often have very little lighting, especially in the center of the track. Over the years the advancements in headlights and led technology have made it so that these endurance race cars light up the track in front of them like daylight.
But what happens when you lose your headlights and have nothing to light the way during one of these races? Can you limp along and still finish? Could you actually win?
