With all of the motorsports coverage we’ve been working for you over the summer, we’ve slacked off a bit on the rally coverage, and that’s pretty sad, because no matter what, rally racing is badass. Ripping through the woods at speeds that would scare most people on backcountry roads is awesome, the variety of cars that participate is usually pretty varied, and when things go bad…oh, mama, do they go bad! This footage is from the Toivakka Rally in Finland, one of the countries that has had a multitude of top-tier rally drivers stand on podiums around the world. The Finnish are known for their bravery and aggressiveness, and on a rally stage you need both if you want to place. Forests, lakes, and dirt roads beckon the bold to come out and test their luck. Sometimes, luck runs out, as the driver of the BMW found out. But hey, look at where he landed…a gorgeous field full of flowers! How can you be mad about that?
