Papadakis Racing Shows How A NASCAR Spec G-Force Trans Goes Together

It is not unusual for different types of race vehicles to share components with race cars and trucks from completely different series. Such is the case with drift cars, which often share components with road racing, drag racing, and even NASCAR’s Car of Tomorrow. In this video, Papadakis Racing shows just how these NASCAR spec G-Force Racing transmissions go together and work. Unlike previous versions of the transmission, which used levers and rods like the T10 they are based on, these new COT spec G-Force transmissions have an internal rail shifting mechanism.

Watch the video and you’ll see just how nice the fit and finish is inside one of these transmissions, and also just how easy they are to pull apart. This is the kind of video that will inspire you to rebuild your own manual transmission. Check it out.
