I think lots of people forget that American cars were exported in the 1960s and 1970s, all over the world, so it makes sense that some of the muscle cars we know and love probably ended up somewhere you wouldn’t think about. What’s funny is that while Japan was starting to send cars over to the United States, just in time for the gas crunch to hit, there was somebody wanting the baddest Mustang available over there on the tiny islands of Japan.
