So the weather outside is hateful, dumping snow deep enough to cause the meteorologists to issue warnings and the weather reporters to start naming the storm that is rolling through while playing up the public panic. That bites regardless, but if you live near a world-class racetrack, that bites badly. Snow is not the friend of most race cars (quiet, you WRC guys), and normally the fluffy white stuff means that it’s time to look work on a project or go binge-watching Netflix. Not in Belgium, home of Spa-Francorchamps, where RSRNurburg, a performance car rental agency, wanted to do something different for the year instead of making a yearly blooper video. They brought out an appropriate car, an all-wheel-drive Nissan GT-R, tie a strap to the back, stick a guy named Fred behind the wheel of the GT-R and get a guy named Christophe to hop onto a snowboard and grab ahold of the tether, and go for broke around Spa. The infamous Eau Rouge corner is interesting enough on dry pavement, but at speeds nearing 75 MPH, both driver and snow junkie must’ve had the ride of their life. It certainly beats sitting around the office doing nothing!
