If you liked the big air and rollover photos we had yesterday from the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series at Lake Elsinore this past weekend, then you’ll dig these ones too. It’s an awesome series that makes us wish someone would let us have some time behind the wheel of one of these suckers. With all the off road racing we’ve been around lately, the dirt is getting in our blood big time!

One thing that is extra cool about a Lucas Oil Off Road Race is the fact that the pits are just like being at an NHRA National Event. Full up close and personal access to the trucks, buggies, teams, and drivers, just like the NHRA races, with the only difference being the fact that these pits are in the dirt. And because they crash and bang and rip the bodies off more than a Nitro Funny Car, you’ll see fabrication, grinding, welding, fiberglass repair and more going on right in front of your eyes.
And the drivers are on hand giving away shirts, hats, and other cool schwag. Plus, with Tonka’s involvement there is plenty for the kids to do and toys to be had just by spinning the wheel to win. Hell, Brian would have been glued to the fence watching the tractors groom the track or in the Tonka booth playing with toys. This is one instance where we can hardly blame him.
