King of the Hammers is an off-road race like none other. And King of the Hammers Week is an event like none other. It’s like Burning Man and the Baja 1000 had a baby and it grew up to be this. There is no really good way to describe this event in comparison to actually watching it go down live. With that said, the amazing live streaming video that they put together is stunning and captures this race better than anyone who has been there would believe. After all, this who thing happens in Johnson Valley which is squarely in the middle of nowhere. We’d hat to see what the satellite internet bill is for this thing, but seeing just how bad as the entire even turns out each year, we’re sure they’ve got it handled and on point. There is nothing about this event that isn’t dead on. Scheduling, race courses, staff, and Hammertown itself are all top notch and will make you cock your head and nod in wonder, because this place is just that amazing. It is the quickest growing city on earth for a week and when you see what the off-road area looks like during Hammertown, it doesn’t compute when you see it otherwise. The transformation is that spectacular.
