A complete Flathead Ford V8 with transmission, in almost virgin condition, for $1000 sounds like a screaming deal to us. Anyone out there looking to build a tradition hot rod, restore a truck, or whatever is well aware that these are getting harder and harder to find. And this one looks like it has never been touched outside of whatever maintenance was required to keep it running. It’s still in the truck! If you are working on one of these trucks, the seller also has a nice radiator and shroud that is still in the truck as well, for an additional $300.
Seeing ads like this make us want to build some traditional hot rod, even though we have no time or money for another project. A lowboy ’31 Ford Pickup with a simple and clean dressed Flatty in it would rule.

Its not a 48 truck motor the truck motor in 48 was Fords first use of the 8BA engine the 48 engine had head studs not head bolts. No matter its still a worthy deal for someone in need.would have studs on the heads not bolts. not
