Everyone knows what a Jeep is, but not everyone knows all the models that they made. And one of those that you see the least is the FC. It’s a Cabover design truck that has the unmistakeable Jeep grill but it otherwise nothing like anything else they ever built. And we love them! The guys at Daystar redid one a couple years ago now and it’s awesome. This one could be too. It’s a real deal Pennsylvania barn find. There are even photos of the barn!
As a west coaster I hear Pennsylvania and think rust bucket, but this thing has been stored and looks to be in decent shape. I would love to see it get a new lease on life with maybe a Cummins 4BT powering it or something. Check it out, you’ll dig it.

Rare 1963 FC Jeep Cab Over with 6 cylinder Flat Head Hurricane. Pennsylvania Barn Find. Yes, it runs. All original parts! Used on family farms in Dorrance Township, PA and Hollenback Township, PA for last 20+ years. Used as a sawmill truck near Red Rock, Pa before that. Original paint is blue. It appears that sawmill operator painted it red. Recent owner (farm family), brush painted it white.

So damn cool
Be a shame to do anything but restore it. They’re that rare.
Gasser!
Straight tube axle, Hemi in the bed and go crack some huge wheelies!
But probably better to do a full-on resto job and sell it for a vast amount of dollars – the classic battle of heart over head!
A neighbor had one in that same blue when i was a little kid. Used to drive it all over. I bet it goes in the snow like a champ!
In high school in 1977 a classmate bought an FJ that had been used by the local Buick-Jeep dealer to plow their lot and do jump starts. It was 20 years old, he was the first registered owner.
why not just get it running and enjoy it? those flathead 6 hurricane are the smoothest running motors ever, have enough torque for rock crawling and will chug along @65mph all day long! my buddy has a bone stock 56 willys wagon with basically the same setup! drove about 100 miles to an off roading event and had a ball pulling FJ cruisers outta tight spots!
There is one of those, in pretty good shape, local to me…in Northern NJ. So ugly that they are cool!
