This 1973 GMC 6500 Would Make A Great Ramp Truck!

This 1973 GMC 6500 Would Make A Great Ramp Truck!

This one is a steal! I mean sure it’s not perfect, but who wants perfect when you are going to make it into a ramp truck anyway! Plus there are some parts in this sucker you could sell and make your money back on, like the Pontiac 400.

1973 GMC 6500 Flatbed 2

This is what the seller says:

1973 GMC 6500 18 foot Flatbed for rebuild or scrap/parts. This truck requires NO SMOG checks in California so if you get it back on the road you can use it without future smog checks!

It has a tuck-under electric over hydraulic liftgate that is fully functional (last I use it) and alone is worth more than what I am asking for the entire truck!

The truck originally came with a Heavy Duty straight 6 engine but the previous owner installed a Pontiac 400 V8 and turbo 350 automatic transmission. These are getting rare and are also worth more than what I’m asking. I planned to remove them for a future hot rod project but my wife says that I lose and you win! The engine needs work (top end I believe) but got the truck down here from Oregon and the transmission seemed fine. Truck has now been sitting for at least 8 years or more since its been used. To get it running it would need rear brake cylinder rebuild, valve job (but might start-bring a battery) and tires. Tilt hood. Cab corners rusted, bed is fairly rotted out. Bill of sale only, no title. Make an offer and come get it!
