This 3/4 Ton Chevrolet Suburban Is A Bad Ass On 44 inch Super Swamper Boggers

This 3/4 Ton Chevrolet Suburban Is A Bad Ass On 44 inch Super Swamper Boggers

I love Chevrolet Suburbans. Doesn’t matter what year, body style, or condition, I can imagine making them into something bad ass. This 1988 Chevy Suburban is a 3/4 ton beast that has been lifted 12 inches and is outfitted with cutout fender flares and 44″ Super Swamper Boggers. That makes it a bad ass. Would I change some stuff on it? Of course! I’m a hot rodder after all. I’m not even sure what engine is in it, but it certainly needs a big block or an LS Swap with a power adder. If the front axle isn’t a Dana 60 then it would have to be once I was done. And I am pretty sure I’d change out the seats for something more durable in the mud, without giving up support and comfort. Oh, and a killer roof rack, some exocage work, and bad ass bumpers would also be on the list. But even if you didn’t do any of those things, this one is a beast and looks awesome.

Check it out.

It still has the 14 Bolt Semi-floater in the back that really should be swapped to the full floater for strength, it may still have the stock 208 transfer case which is a weak link. I imagine it has a TBI 350, if it was a 6.2 Diesel, there would probably be a badge on the barn doors. Big blocks did not come in 3/4 ton 4x4s during a few years. Conversion seats look good, probably made by Flexsteel.

With those size tires steering stabilizers are only a band aid , I think I would go with a ram assist from Lee Power Steering and an upgraded pump . they set me straight with my truck with the same size tires and it drives like a caddy .
