The SLJ900/32 Is One Bad Bridge Building SOB. Watching This Sucker Work Is Insane!

The SLJ900/32 is an insane bridge building machine made by the Beijing Wowjoint Machinery Company. It apparently weighs 580 tons, is 300 foot long and 24 foot wide and because of it’s incredibly innovative design it makes building a bridge much faster, easier, and safer. The way that this machine lays down entire sections of bridge, without the need for a crane, is what its all about. Get the road to the end of your gap to bridge, install the uprights and pilings that are going to hold the bridge, and then drive the sections out over the openings using the SLJ900. Truthfully, building the pilings/uprights/supports becomes the biggest job in building a bridge with this machine. Not that doing that isn’t hard, but it sure does make it nice when you are using the SLJ900. We dig it.

    Wow joint?

Is that what the guys who dreamed this wonder up were smoking?

Unfortunately the complete Chinese disregard for worker’s safety and use of substandard materials probably will cost a lot of lives before this bridge is built.

That and the vast use of crystal meth amongst the workforce as they are moving in real time…

actually the Chinese made decent stuff now, made in America just means its over priced seeing as other countries not only china can make the same quality in less time and cheaper

The Chinese make decent COPIES of stuff made in America. They don’t make anything that they design themselves that is original or superior in its field.

And I’m not in a union, I’m a professional who has worked in China and the US.
