Rubber fires burn forever, and apparently they burn even better with some accelerant! This Dodge Dakota pickup is getting it’s tire smoke on, when all of a sudden the tires burst into flames. Pretty standard right? Well maybe not. There is some real fire going on here. Check out just how hot this thing is when they spray water on it after pulling it away! We aren’t sure exactly what makes this Dodge Dakota Catch on Fire, but it’s entertaining!
Not sure if some fluids were involved ( brake fluid , rear end lube leak ,etc )
but when a pile of tire rubber is burning , there is a puddle of liquid
hydrocarbons at the flame point that provides hot flamamble gas .
There is also pure carbon ( the black stuff in a tire ) that can heat up to
1500 degs F plus (red hot) .
Put the flame out – the hot carbon then re-ignites the flammable gas that is
still present . You have to drown the fire to cool it enough to prevent
re-ignition . A couple squits of CO2 will not do that . A large CO2
extinguisher MIGHT cool it enough , IF you know what you are doing…
Thats why a tire POS pile keeps burning …
Nothing added but power lol hey mythbusters said it couldn’t be done lol
Bunch of rednecks
