Goodguys is letting in 1988-1998 Chevrolet and GMC Trucks into the Lone Star Spring Nationals in Texas this weekend! When the announcement was made, the guys at Ridetech decided it sounded like the perfect place to do a live install of their suspension system for one then. And so the scheming began, and here is the result.
Take one old Indiana farm truck, a bed full of run Ridetech suspension parts, drive it to Texas, install said parts, and drive it back home to Indiana! What could possibly go wrong? Hopefully nothing, because one of their employees owns the truck and is driving it down from Indiana for the LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. It’s an 850 mile trip, the truck hasn’t been driven that far in one stretch ever, and just a few Ridetech employees are going to help put it together. It sounds like my kind of fun!
Here’s all the info from Ridetech:
We’re loading up the bed of a Ridetech employee’s truck (a bone stock 1997 Chevy “farm truck”) with a complete air suspension system and road tripping down to the 11th LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals (850 miles one way).
At our vender booth, inside the Goodguys show, (in front of anyone who wants to watch) we will install the new suspension system and wheels / tires. After we have had our fun at the event… we’re going to drive the TRANSFORMED truck back to Indiana.
If you ever wanted to know how to install an air suspension system – you can get all your questions answered right there – or watch our video coverage from your own garage. Either way, it will be a good time!
