This is kind of a cool project because it is a 7-ton triple axle trailer that is being built to tow behind his bitchin Army truck so he can haul his tracked vehicles and more. It has triple 5,000 lb torsion axles going under it and the design is pretty simple. He is calling it a short and simple build, but the videos are good because they show each “step” in the build. We’ve got the first three videos below to share with you so you can see what is going on.
If you haven’t ever built a trailer, this is a good video series to watch. It’s not rocket science, that’s for sure, but you want to make sure that your axle spacing and locations are right so that the trailer will pull right and not sway. This is important regardless of the trailer size, but can you imagine one like this being setup wrong and getting out of control while going down the road? That would suck out loud.
So watch these first three videos, where the axles, frame, and major components all go together to build what will be the main framework of the trailer, and we’ll share the rest with you over the coming days.
Very entertaining, but at $11,000 for the build…buy one at the dealer.
