SEMI TRUCKS Drag Racing, Up Hill, With 120,000 lbs Trailers Behind Them! What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

SEMI TRUCKS Drag Racing, Up Hill, With 120,000 lbs Trailers Behind Them! What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

We’ve been sharing videos from Canada’s big rig drag races ever since we started BANGshift.com, but it’s only been a few years since they started racing them here in the United States. The location for this weird and awesome racing is Onaway Speedway in Michigan, where they have a purpose built uphill dragstrip just for these big rig races. We dig it. It’s not fast, in comparison to the cars we normally follow, but they are crazy impressive when you consider the size and the load they carry. Check out the action below, thanks to our friends from 1320Video.

Video Description:

The Great Lakes Big Rig Challenge is an event we’ve wanted to attend ever since seeing videos emerge in 2018. Onaway Speedway built this 700ft long uphill drag strip specifically for Big Rig Racing and it is the only uphill drag strip in the United States. Though relatively new to the United States, Big Rig Racing has been going on in Québec, Canada for over 3 decades.
