Last month we showed you the Fab Rats Jeep project that had them cutting it in half and then getting rid of most of what was connected to the back half. So far they have extended the frame, gusseted everything, built a new rear axle assembly, built all new suspension, and made panels to fill the big gap in the body. In this episode they are actually installing the sheet metal, figuring out how to make the brakes work, and finishing up some other fab work. It is amazing just how quickly you can cut one of these in half, and then just how much more work it is to put it back together. The Fab Rats are well equipped to make it happen though and we’ll see what kind of rig this ends up being when done.

Like we’ve said before, off-roaders are sorta like mini-truckers in that they are absolutely willing to cut up anything and everything in pursuit of the build of their dreams. It’s funny, but I think most hot rodders would freak out to see the absolute pleasure that comes from hacking up a perfectly good vehicle.
