Ever see a GMC 12 cylinder engine in person? Ever hear of them? Unlike the monsters folks are making from two engines or billet, this was a casting from GMC. And that’s just scratching the surface of what is in this video of whacky engines you may never have seen before. This is the kind of stuff that you see at a show and scratch your head wondering where they got it and what could possibly have possessed them to stuff it into a car or whatever. The Devel V16 would be a natural choice for Speed Demon and running on alcohol with a dash of nitro should produce over 6000HP and enable it to reach well over 500mph.

I once happened upon a Kansas ranch . We were walking around stretching our legs .We came across a massive all aluminum V-8 Setting on a pallet in the weeds . Turns out it was a 1000 cid Ford gas engine .Built for army tanks during Korean war. This rancher had put one in a pulling tractor in the 70’s. Made his own fuel injection setup . Turbocharged it . Said it made over 4k hp .Had to have a custom 14″ slipper clutch made . Said he won either Indy supper pull or Bowlingreen Some were around 1980 . He had 2 dozen of these engines. some guy bought one to put in a Mustang . I think its the one on YouTube . Look up Mustang tank engine. 1000k cid all aluminum ,4 valves per cyl. overhead cam .3″ intake and exhaust ports .Why haven’t you Ford freaks picked up on this .
Steve Morris Racing engines can not sell the Devel 16 directly to the puplic in any form , the design belong’s to the Devel 16 car company even though it looks like nothing more than an LS elongated . ..
