You should be familiar with Mike Ryan, the driver behind the Freightliner drift truck that features in the “Size Matters” series of YouTube films and has run on Pikes Peak. There’s no denying that Ryan is a badass behind the wheel of several tons of truck, but he isn’t the only talented semi driver that’s out there. The man cranking the wheel of this 1100-hp MAN is Michiel Becx, a driver from the Netherlands who shares the love of making a semi do things that it was never, ever designed to do. Racing around the Fursten Forest area of Germany, Becx does everything that Ryan can do: it drifts, it spins, it even will whip donuts around someone on a segway (who seems to be calling out two of the more famous names in the gymkhana video genre), but the stunning point for this video is at one point, he actually leaves the truck, while it’s whipping donuts, to get a drink. I’ve watched this video several times to see if there’s someone in the truck when he gets out and I sure as hell can’t see anyone in there…click play and look for yourself.
