Mega trucks are a curious middle ground between a lifted, powerful mud truck and a legitimate monster truck. Still a newcomer on our radar, mega trucks can usually be spotted by their thin and tall tires, nearly indestructible axle setups, tall height and overkill engines, but outside of YouTube and those in the know, they are still a curiosity. Some of these monsters are basically a truck plopped onto a built chassis, while others are fiberglass shells draped over a purpose built setup. They are wild and they are going to be an attraction on this year’s Monster Jam series! Busted Knuckle Video follows these beasts closely and have put together a rundown on the trucks that will be competing and touring the country. Our favorite? Without a doubt, “Hammerhead”, a 1982 Chevrolet truck that runs a blown 1,425 horsepower 555ci V8, a Powerglide, and Rockwell F106 axles gets our thumbs up.
