Rough Start: Whose Bright Idea Was It To Mate A Bronco II With A Porsche 944?!

Rough Start: Whose Bright Idea Was It To Mate A Bronco II With A Porsche 944?!

Trars have always had a place here at BangShift, mainly because we’re strange enough to like most combinations that people have come up with over the years. From the mid-1970s Camaro with the snowplow on it to the Ford station wagon on a Super Duty frame, we can get behind a properly done four-wheel-drive conversion. But this setup that we found in Colorado Springs…um…well, you be the judge. The body has been mounted to a frame sourced from a Ford Bronco II, a vehicle known for it’s stability off-road, and has been built into the kid of rig that looks like a great start for the next Mad Max movie.

One of a kind clone. Fuel-injected V-6, 2.9 Ford Motor (it will also accommodaterims, a Ford 302 V-8), 4-speed A.O.D. Automatic Transmission (Ford), Dana 44 Rear and Front Axles. New Fuel system, fresh tune-up. Needs wiring finished to restart. Dick Cepek 15×10 rims, 38.5 Thornbirds, Warn winch. This vehicle needs work before driving. Most all parts are here. Finish assembling yourself.

We don’t even know what kind of Porsche that is on the frame. 924? 944? On thing is for certain…you bring this monster to a Porsche club meet and all hell will break loose. Like pitchforks, torches and angry screaming levels of anger.
