Street Gas Truck Pulls From The Thumb Tractors Pulling Association: Shut Up And Hook Up!

Street Gas Truck Pulls From The Thumb Tractors Pulling Association: Shut Up And Hook Up!

I have an issue when it comes to truck pulls. Not the actual pulls themselves or the professional teams that come put on a show, I love them. My issue lies within the stands and parking lots outside of said events. In a truck pull, it’s common to see Cummins-powered Dodges, Duramaxes, Super Duty Fords and farm implements turn up to drag a sled down a dirt path. Out in the parking lot, the scene is pretty familiar: Cummins-powered Dodges, Duramaxes, and Super Duty Fords. But unlike the trucks competing, a lot of what is in the spectator’s parking lot qualifies under the “pavement princess” category. You know the type: super-loud exhaust, eight-inch dump pipes or worse, stacks through the bed, stickers and pretty wheels. But don’t point that out to the owners…oh, no…they own the baddest rig in the county/state/whatever.

Fine. Prove it. There are events where you can enter your precious 1993 Ford F-250 into a pull. Hook that sucker up to a sled and drag it. I’ll shut up about any and everything “pavement princess” if you’re willing to do more with your truck that using it to blast horrible pop country music out of the speakers with. See that old Dodge stakebed? See what it can do? Do that, and you’ll earn a shred of respect out of me for your truck. Because as it stands, that old Dodge is high on my “want” list along with pretty much everything else you’ll see in this video!

Holy hell!!! It’s my hometown on Bangshift!! I’ve got a lot of love for the Bay City fairgrounds

That single cab GMC at the start of the video has a supercharged small block in it!
I don’t know any of the other trucks but that stakebed Dodge is bitching!!

If you could find a video of the “street diesel” class from the same pull you’d see a lot of those “pavement princess” trucks getting down the track!! Guys back home play hard with their trucks

Tri-City motor Speedway hosts spectator drags that you will see these same trucks at & Silver Lake Sand Dunes are only 2 hours away & there is a big group from Bay City out there monthly

You can hook up, but beware it’s really addictive! Next thing you know your buying bigger injectors and a tuner, then compound turbos and meth injection. Next you break a drive shaft, transfer case yoke etc. There is NO telling how much I spent before I moved to Hawaii. It was a hell of a lot of fun though.
