This didn’t go to plan, I’m sure. In this clip from BustedKnuckleVideo, this blue Chevy 4×4 hooked up to a K5 Blazer in a “grudge pull” event and went absolutely for broke. The engine sounds ready to fight and it sure sounds like a manual transmission to us, so what exactly failed at first is purely speculative, but whatever left the building took the bottom end of the engine with it in a blaze of glory, with parts scattered and a tire paying the price for being too close to the scene of the crime.
The one thing about these truck tug-of-war events is that carnage like this is a pretty regular occurrence, so take note of the people up against the chain-link fence watching. Had something gone really south or managed to ricochet off of the ground, this could become a bad situation quickly. In this case, it’s just a dead Chevy and some slightly scorched asphalt.
Torque vs. top end power.
The Blazer definitely had torque in spades.
Looks like he launched part of his front U-joint through the oil pan.
