2 DOOR trucks are a bit rare (especially nowadays) which would make it "special" - extra cab to boot. I wouldn't mind having something like that

That is what attracted me to it. Not 100% sold on it being a dually, but whatever. A 90's dually is still small compared to a current F150!

I love those years of fords in sizes 250 and 350. My father in law bought a loaded 250 brand new. Cab and a half 8 ft. bed. You had to choose your gas stations wisely......
the turning radius was terrible. But if I could find it, I'd buy it .

Push bar for when you're at the track (it's an LSR thing where push starts are legal)? Guessing, of course.

I had a neighbor buy virtually the same truck used, only 4-door, 460/auto, beautiful/dirt cheap. He used it to tow a trailer once and on a hill the inner fenders melted and caught on fire due to red-hot exhaust manifolds. He fixed it and sold it for even less than he bought if for. This was a Chrysler mechanic, not some regular-ol' guy, dude was pretty sharp but bitter about the truck. I'd pass unless you just want it for around town and not heavy-duty work.

heads up on Canadian cars - they have a UCC filing, not a title. Makes it a bit of a challenge to import them into the US (read, doesn't have a title). Not insurmountable, but certainly a trap for the unwary.

I went and looked at it this evening. It's a pretty decent old truck. It needs a few things, but most 30 plus year old trucks do need a few things.

It drives about like a one ton, twin I beam truck should. It didn't do anything weird. Rides kind of rough, (duh) and the engine stayed cool the entire time. 97+ degrees outside today.

Odometer shows 79,000 mi and that is completely believable. Interior is clean, underside of the truck is clean. It's a little dirty where the power steering pump leaks but what 30-year-old Ford power steering pump doesn't leak? Transmission did not appear to be leaking and the engine did not really appear to be leaking either. At least not anymore than I would expect from a 30-year-old engine. Power windows work, power locks work, still has the factory radio in it.

Brakes are a little soft, the master cylinder has been replaced, pedal is low and feels like everything needs to be bled real good. The front rubber brake lines definitely need to be replaced. Tires are good.

Rear is an open diff with 4.10's. Not real excited about 4.10's but whatever, it has overdrive so it's not terribly bad.

I might just have to snag it. Could make a good Cummins swap candidate at some point. Haha.
