Chevelle:
Upper Radiator hose, too bright and shiney
Same story for the fan shroud and catch can
Chrome alternator
MCSS:
Mongrel of a fuel line setup
Wheels are cool becaus of the slicks but on street tires... a bit dated
Clean up that wiring and hoses, I know its a late model EPA controlled engine with miles of smog but you can clean that mess up
Tinted back window but no side glass
Red plug wires with no other red elements in the engine bay
Chrome aircleaner lid
Re: *** "OFFICIAL" CarJunkie VIOLATION GAME ***
Both cars are lacking a good stance IMO. A 3" drop would do wonders I think, especially for the Chevelle.
The exhaust-exits on the Chevelle look funny to me. I thought only convertibles and stationwagons have their exits angled away to the sides.
Re: *** "OFFICIAL" CarJunkie VIOLATION GAME ***
Both cars sit about 2-3 lower than stock. The Monte can't go any lower without scraping the exhuast, and the Chevelle can't go any lower without the driveshaft scraping the tunnel.
I hate the exhaust on the Chevelle. It is supposed to exit right behind the wheels, not all the way back at the bumper. And no, I will NOT point in straight back!
The pic of the Monte's engine was taken while I was taking it apart to convert it to serpentine, hence the clear belts. They didn't work that great anyway.
Two months after buying chrome and polished accessories for the motor in the Chevelle, I decided I don't like the way it looks. That will get changed... sometime.
Look close, those are two different sets of wheels on the Monte in the two pix. And those slicks are ls7gto's.
When the Monte needed new wires, they only had red, yellow, and blue at the store. I picked the least offensive.
Can't tint side windows in PA. And hey, that Moroso air cleaner cost me 50 bucks! And the fuel system works, thanks to all the hose clamps. Look real close, you can see the separate fuel system for the plate.
I have been procrastinating on cleaning up the engine bay (and everything else) in the Monte for the last 10 years cuz "someday" I want to pull it completely apart and redo the whole car-- isn't that lame?
I can tell you a lot more things wrong with both cars, trust me.
