    just so ya know a 1'' spacer onthe spring is 3 '' of lift also if you do that the ball joint spacer comes in handy also helps with the launch but thats another story oh and if put togetehr this way it still rides nice and handles fine on the street well as fine a 3 inch wide tires corner lol{thats how my 57 was}
    Hmmmm...........ok, taking notes here

    We're also lookin what's available in the front spring department

    We'll see what it looks like after the engine is installed and go from there.
    Im thinkin the 409 with aluminum heads, intake, water pump etc......will weigh about the same
    as an ironed head small block

                  Custom timing chain cover came in today.
                  Basically a small block cover with a big block snout.

                  One piece aluminum

                  A 409 hobbyist up in Canada is making these

                    Is that a billet piece or a casting? The milling marks on the inside are WAY cool - either he has a CNC set up or he's the world's best at twisting the X and Y handles at exactly the right time! Nice looking piece either way - just curious.

                      I just assumed it was billet

                      Lamar Walden has a two piece cover but opted for this one
                      as it looks more original

                        Wrong pistons and fuel pump?

                        Well, *@#!

                        Any timeline on when the correct slugs/pump will be there?

                        The cover looks cool...lots-o-aluminum, makin' race weight!

                        I DO wanna be there when that beast does the first pull.
