    Re: My 409/'55 Chevy Project

They're notorious for never having any catalogs. They print just one run and don't make more when they run out.

That's why God invented the Internet. Online catalogs work just fine.

Some day I'll tell you the story about that. Al actually had quite a bit to do with it, although he was NOT the tech guy!

Got block back from machine shop.
              Waiting on rotating assembly.

Shop bill was reasonable, I thought, at $600 for all
              they work they done.

That's NOT an intake - it's a "colector du admission". Hope it's work OK.

I can't help but feel a bit envious when buy parts like that. I guess I just have to live vicariously through those who can and are nice enough to show us pics and progress. Thanks for doing that, Monk.

Cool part of being on the forum here is sharing
                              the project.

Looks like dyno day could be first Saturday in December.

                                Wow Monk - just WOW!

I have to agree with Scott - I'm living vicariously through you on this project.

NEW Dual quads, MSD ready to run, roller cam upgrade, machine work, nearly one off headers, totally bitchen!

I really hope you can get some sound when you dyno this thing - it's going to sound like heaven on earth.

I think this car may achieve the highest level of baderasserness.... ever.

Are those edel carbs designed to work together in a dual quad set up? I'm wondering if there are any specific tuning kits for edel duals? I recall seeing some holley dual set ups where the vac sec diaphram housings were T'd together. I've seen some that had "matched" throttle opening on the primaries, and others (usually tri power) where one carb sort of acted as the primary - and the others came in only at higher throttle angles.

I'm sure the linkage set up you'll have on this thing will be like hotrod jewelry....
There's always something new to learn.
