Ha! I didn't get it completely back together :-\ The sun going down and the cold, bah! I just have to put the radiator back in, tighten up the belts and it should hopefully start up.

You've tied the number of cams I put in the Impala. Go out and change to another one to beat me.

Bamfster told me you were stuggling with cam choices and its impact on your MPG's. I'll have to look up the cam card on my '70 Riviera which got over 20mpg on the highway in a 5000lb car with a TH700R4 and 3.42's.

I think I was at the limits of the 118 cam's efficiency for my cruise rpm. I really wanted to use the 290 cam, but clearly had issues :'( This 212 cam should be pretty docile.

Doing the cam break in now. Crossing my fingers! This cam looks like it's pulling more vacuum....

Re: The Silver Buick's well Silver Buick!

Cam break in is done, only one kinda hiccup. About 15 minutes in I'm standing just outside the car looking over the engine, with one foot in the car hitting the gas when I decide to bring it up briefly to 3,000rpm a few times and I hear a rattle and notice the distributor bouncing around :o I thought "Crap, I'll be super pissed if I ruin the distributor drive gears, but I know I tightened down the distributor". So I shut the engine off, and wouldn't you know it, I forgot to lock the cap hold downs, D'oh :P Ran fine though! I locked the timing in at 32* advance for the break in, sounded healthy.

Now, in the warmth of my house, I'm going to start re-vamping the whole Fuel, Ignition, Start up, etc tables on the computer.

Took it for a test drive to the Grocery store. So far so good. I need to verify timing before I delve into it to far, but no hiccups going there and back.

I did, two clicks clockwise right!? I even took the bend out of the Barometric Correction table so hopefully it's good when I head south for Thanksgiving.

You're cruel Scott, you know I can't refuse two cams and a blonde :D I wish I had it down to 35 minutes :'( I am thinking of wiring up a quick connector to my relay board though instead of having to hook up each wire individually. Save me only five minutes though :P
