How long is everyone thinking it'll take us to get to Concord??

Really depends on the route.and figure that every little town is going to be loaded with people slowing you down even more.
But thats the point,is it not.To smell the roses along the way?

I booked there too.........as an alternate to Lookout Mtn.

I'm in in Cleveland (HIE), with a backup at Lookout Mountain.......the trip from Chattanooga to Concord looks like a killer (scenic, but long)....

Lookout Mountain HIE; the place is not worth 100+ dollars / nite.

Adds 50-60 miles compared to Cleveland, for next day drive.

I am pondering staying closer to NC. I really want to take the 'Tail of the Dragon' which is between Chattagnoga & Concord. And the last venue could be the the best. Charlotte has a NASCAR track (host the Coca-Cola 600), NHRA dragstrip, dirt track for Legends series cars, and maybe go karts

hie lookout mtn. trouble checking in...trouble getting points...front desk was rude. similar to Muskegon!

I'm in Cleveland, TN. at a Quality Inn ($79) I believe it is and it's PeeWee (local) approved - my first choice was cancelled on his reccomendation.

" WHAT THE RACE?" exactly the reason why BOB! want to enjoy the drive ...not race to venue. over 300 miles thru that country.
would like to stop where i want to; amd not be in a hurry.

I75 - 441 - 129 - Deals Gap - 28 - 19 - 74 ( this is assuming that PT does not go this way )

That is a great route, I have riden it before. 74 runs you into 85 through Charlotte. Traffic will probably be bad towards the speedway...

I'm still staying in Chattanooga Thursday night. Downtown is too Beautiful NOT to stay there. PLUS you have the breweries, which is like a plus!! I'll just get up earlier to hit the road and catch ya'll....
