BangShift’s Christmas Wish List from Jegs.com

BangShift’s Christmas Wish List from Jegs.com

No matter how young or old you are, every man, woman, and child makes a wish list for Christmas or Hanukkah. As we get older, that list gets shorter and ultimately more simple, but the items on it certainly don’t get any cheaper. This year, with the help of Jegs.com’s “wish list” function, many of you will be picking out goodies for Santa to put under the tree. For fun, the BangShift.com staff has put together a list of things we wish we had for the toys in our garages. We chose the extremes on most items because, well, it’s Christmas. And if it’s a wish list, we want to go big. Check it out below. We hope you enjoy it.

To make your own list, visit Jegs.com.

Aeromotive Fuel Systems Eliminator1. Aeromotive Eliminator Fuel Pump – We don’t have anything that could possibly take advantage of the 1,600-horsepower fueling capacity of Aeromotive’s Eliminator Fuel Pump, but we sure can think up a great combo that would.

2. Jegster 12-point Cage Kit – If we’re going to build a motor that can handle all the fuel from Aeromotive’s Eliminator pump, we’re going to need a chassis that can handle it. The Jegster 12-point kit is low-buck, but complete and made to fit your specific application.

Jegster 12 point cage3. Jegster 4-Link Rear Frame Rails – Again, if we’re going to have that much power, we might as well have some tire!

Crower rocker arms4. Crower 1.9 Enduro Long Arm Rocker Arms – We can’t imagine a small-block Chevrolet running something like this, but clearly Crower built them for a reason. If they built them, we’ll try them, after all, they turn a 0.650 lift cam, with 1.5 rockers, into 0.823 at the valve with these 1.9s.

5. Edelbrock Victor Tunnel Ram – Why? Because Edelbrock says it makes peak power between 6,500 and 10,000 rpm, and we say nothing would be cooler than a 10,000 rpm small-block on our dream project.

6. MSD Digital 7-Plus Programmable Ignition –           MSD Ignition Digital 7 Programmable

We love MSD products, but not just because MSD is a sponsor here at BangShift.com. We know, as do racers around the world, that they build the highest quality, most feature rich ignition systems available. If we are going to want control over every aspect of our engine’s ignition system, we’re going with MSD.

NOS Big Shot System7. NOS Big Shot Plate Nitrous System – We’re going to need two of them since we will be running dual carbs on top of that killer tunnel ram, but it would be a shame not to use it since MSD’s Digital 7-Plus just loves nitrous. Hell, who doesn’t like the happy button. How do you think Santa makes it around the world so fast each Christmas?

8. Hedman Husler Stepped Hedders – With their

1 7/8 to 2″ step design, we’re pretty sure these Hedman Hedders will do the job of scavenging all our exhaust gases. We’ve used Hedmans before and have always liked their fit. We’ll take ours coated please.

Cherry Bomb Extreme9. Cherry Bomb Extreme Mufflers – With so many tracks facing more and more pressure to reduce noise, we figure running mufflers is the “responsible” thing to do. Since Cherry Bomb has always been there for us, and continues to build bitchin’ products, we’re going for the Extreme.

10. Hughes Performance Competition Powerglide

  Hughes Glide

With the Superglide case, deep pan, fluid release trans-brake, 9310 gears and billet shafts, this Glide will get it done. Hughes rates them to 1500 horsepower, and they are known for being conservative. Hughes is a leader in the drag racing industry, and personally track test each and every component they design and build. Plus, their Superglide cases include an inner liner to make them fully SFI compliant.
