BangShift Question Of The Day: Did You Do Anything Car Related For 4th Of July?

With the 4th falling on a Thursday, it means that a lot of folks are going to end up with a 4 day weekend. That could mean prime time for some car fun. But just because you have all weekend doesn’t mean you had to wait. How many of you actually did something car related on the 4th of July? Did you hit the local track and run your car? Or go to the dirt track for racing and 4th of July Fireworks like they do at Perris Speedway here in SoCal? Or did you finally get that intake and new Holley carb on the engine in your Camaro? Or did you fire up the grill, cook out and have some beverages while bench racing with your buddies? That counts!

So, let us know. Did you do anything car related for the 4th of July?

    Sure did! Mocked up my refurbed fuel tank, electric pump, and bent some wire to have a local shop bend me some fuel lines to connect the tank to. Mock up, tedious yet necessary part of the job.

    Took the wife & my girls to the beach for ice cream and fireworks in the Chevelle with the top down, just like we do every year.

    I washed and waxed my white and red Z06. I then drank beer while looking at it in my garage. A perfect 4th of July for me. Well, maybe having an incredibly hot chick in a stars and stripes bathing suit bringing me that beer may have made it a bit better : )

    What good is a holiday if you can’t do some cool motorhead stuff.
    On Saturday we ran our 56 Corvette 183 MPH at the Ohio Mile
    landspeed event.
    It just seemed like a neat way to spend a patriotic holiday.
